The ITOCHU International Foundation of North America only makes direct grants and donations to non-profit organizations in the United States currently qualified as Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 501(c)(3) organizations. The ITOCHU International Foundation of North America only supports programs in the Americas.
The ITOCHU International Foundation of North America does not provide grants for religious organizations, individuals, political advocacy and related activities, endowment funds, advertisements, galas, dinner tables / tickets (raffles), or social events, and does not accept benefits with grants.
The ITOCHU International Foundation of North America does not support any organization or project that discriminates on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, reproductive health, parenthood, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The ITOCHU International Foundation of North America does not knowingly award grants to organizations that discriminate on any legally protected characteristics in their hiring/employment practice or the clients they serve.
Application Procedure:Grants applications are evaluated and subject to approval at the annual Board meetings. The annual board meeting will be held each spring. Applicants are encouraged to submit all proposals during the first quarter of each calendar year, at the latest.
