ITOCHU Taiwan’s Sustainability Given that ITOCHU is an enterprise indispensable in today’s society,

it must also take its responsibility as a member of society in its corporate operating. We realize that an enterprise and society are interdependent. As a good corporate citizen, we have no reason to shirk any social responsibility.
The policies of our social responsibility have been formed through anticipation and uneasiness from many other enterprises and involved persons, followed by the reflection coming up from daily communication. We have endeavored to formulate the policies favorable to society, in hopes of becoming an enterprise to be trusted in society.
The company is currently an avid participator trying to contribute to society and the environment. It will continue to do so in the future, so as to aggressively promote corporate social responsibility.

2.Thorough and positive improvement in terms of products, services and personal safety and security

4.Reinforce management of supply chain members (respect for human rights)

mid-term Sustainability promotion issues

1.Promote less consumption of water resources, i.e. waterless dyeing system INMAX through CO2 emissions.
2.In the aspect of synthetic resin business, the company aggressively promotes re-generated materials trying to reduce the burden of the environment.
3.Aggressively promote the green energy business.
4.In terms of food ingredient distribution business, the company has devoted its efforts to maintaining product quality and safety and keeping improvement of its products to best traits to shine.
5.On the front of the Earth environment and regional society, the company has aggressively promoted the concept of social contribution and environmental protection. At the same time, in conjunction with the activities held between Taiwanese and Japanese, the company is also open to visits of outside groups, e.g. to receive a business visit from National Taiwan University so as to enhance the culture exchange between Taiwan and Japan.
