Mr. Shimizu is the Senior Vice President, Asst. CFO, Controller & General Manager of ITOCHU International Inc. (hereafter “III”), Accounting & Risk Management Division, a wholly owned subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation.
Mr. Shimizu has over 35 years of experience and joined III in 1987. Prior to joining III Headquarters in New York, Mr. Shimizu was the Controller of ITOCHU Canada Ltd. Mr. Shimizu’s role oversees Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Divisional Accounting, Financial Risk Management, Financial Systems and Corporate Credit.
Mr. Shimizu holds a B. Com degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems and currently holds a US CPA license and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts as well as a Canadian CPA license and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Canada.
